Pope Francis - requiescat in pace

The Grand Priory joins together with the whole Church in praying for the sole of the late Sovereign Pontiff, Pope Francis, who died this morning in Rome at the age of 88.

A solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on the month’s mind of his death, Wednesday 21 May 2025, at 6:30pm, at Our Lady of the Assumption & St Gregory, Warwick Street.

O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
